'End of Season' Dinner and Presentation - 9th October 2010

As we come to the end of the 2010 season, please consider booking your places for the 'end of season dinner', to be held once again at the Wychwood Golf Club - Lyneham, Near Kingham.
The cost per person is £22.50 for a three-course carvery meal, so please contact Colin on 01993.704108 or 07909 978863 or e-mail colin.olliffe@gmail.com.
We are aiming for a minimum of 60 persons and trust that a good many club members and friends will want to attend this evening, and support those who will have won awards during the season.

O.C.A.Telegraph Cup Final - Great Success!

What a successful afternoon, not only for Chadlington C.C. for winning the Telegraph Cup Final but for Charlbury C.C. who hosted this event, and despite very windy conditions saw a highly competitive game of cricklet, well supported by both Chadlington and Stonesfield and a number of our own club.
Many thanks to all those who gave of their time and efforts to make this occasion so successful and once again showed how well Charlbury Cricket Club can organise these 'high profile' events.
Both teams were very impressd with the ground and a superb wicket and also the quality of the teas provided, and the bar service. The idea to run a cake and tea stall plus a barbecue proved to be worthwhile, and if the weather had been that much warmer those involved would have been even busier - thank you to all who provided cakes for this event.
We now start planning for the Bonfire and Fireworks event in November and will need lots of volunteers - please help as you are able?

Youth Presentation Evening

Youth awards for all groups will be presented at the club on Friday 3rd September. Meet at the club at normal training time of 6.30pm.

Following the presentation of awards there will be the Youth AGM to which all members are invited to attend.

President's Day and Official Opening of the New Pavilion

What a day! Our sincere thanks to all who made this day possible, the ground staff, catering team, bar staff, raffle ladies, barbecue man, the BBC reporter and cameraman, Oxford mail photographer, the teams (men and women) various club officials and of course to Henry Olonga who played for the President and officially opened the pavilion.
Great to see so many spectators and the football supporters who helped to boost the bar sales! and many 'old friends' of Charlbury Cricket Club who came to witness this historic occasion.
We are so privilged to have the ongoing support of the local community and appreciated the many compliments on our new pavilion, which is now up and running for the benefit of all who wish to use these great facilities.

Lost Property!

We seem to be collecting quite a lot of clothing etc and feel we should advise that we now have a "Lost property" container, which will be put out on the decking at the Tots and Youth sessions, so that parents can look through and claim what belongs to their children.
Anything unclaimed will be sent to a charity shop at the end of the season.

Some coaching groups are now closed to new members

As usual we have had a large number of applications for places in our youth section and some age groups are now at their capacity.

Please note that we cannot accept more members in the following groups:

Under-7
Under-9
Under-11

A few places are available at Under-13, Under-15 and Under-18.
