Playing Facilities

Charlbury Cricket Club boasts two league standard pitches with an 10 wicket square (Main pitch) and a 5 wicket square retrospectively. The main pitch includes an artificial wicket for match and practice days. Additionally, there are 3 artificial practice nets and 1 portable net which can be placed over the square.

Within the new Clubhouse (built in 2010) there are enough changing facilities for two games to be played at once. With 5 changing rooms and showers there is sufficient room for 4 playing teams (and officials). The facilities also include access for those with disabilities.

The facilities of Charlbury Cricket Club are regularly used by the Youth Section of Oxfordshire County Cricket Club for trials and training days. It has also regularly hosted the cup finals of the Oxfordshire Cricket Association league.

The facilities are free to be used by all registered Charlbury Cricket Club members but can be hired for any private cricket game or training.

Pavilion

The brand new Pavilion comprises of a large decked area overlooking the main field, a fully licensed bar and fully equipped catering facilities. The Pavilion can comfortably accommodate up to 60-80 people for any occasion.

The Members Bar is open from 6pm until 9pm on Fridays as well as from 2pm until 10pm Saturdays and Sundays. It is also open for all other scheduled Cricket fixtures.

The Pavilion is for hire throughout the year. If you are looking for a venue for your Birthday Parties, Wedding Receptions, Beer Festivals, Summer Balls, Aunt Sally Games or any other function, Charlbury Cricket Club has the venue for you.

The venue consists of:

• Bar Area, Lounge Area, and a Large Outside Decked Area
• Fully Licensed Bar
• Large Plasma TV with Freeview
• WiFi Internet Access (Registered Club Members Only)
• Full Kitchen Catering Facilities
• Car Parking Facilities
• Disabled Access

If you are interested in hiring it out for a function of any kind there is a hire charge. We are more than happy for you to come down and have a look at the room before you decide if the venue is suitable for your occasion. We also ask for a deposit to secure the booking of 25% of the actual cost.

Venue Facilities / Hiring The Club

Due to the size, outlook and ambience of the location, the ground has already been hired for a 200 seat marquee for a Summer Ball, two marquee weddings and Charlbury Beer Festival, catering for 1000 people.

We have the contacts for you to organise any size event (subject to licensing) in hiring marquees, catering and bar facilities. We are happy to help organise your event for that perfect occasion.
