After many years of producing the finest teas in the OCA and now the Cherwell also, Cher is standing down at the end of the season. As a club we can’t thank Cher enough for her dedication, constant smile and quite superb teas. Over the next month I’m sure you’ll all want to have a word individually and thank Cher for all her hard work.
Also, after six years in the job, Vicky will be standing down as 3rd team captain at the end of the season (staying as ladies captain). The 3rd team has been a brilliant place to play during Vicky’s tenure. Vicky has embraced the role by introducing youth players and ladies, getting the best out of our more experienced players and most importantly ensuring all enjoy themselves when representing our 3rds. We can’t thank Vicky enough, what an innings!
We now need to look forward to next season.
We have two exciting and important vacancies within the club which you can get involved with. If you are interested and would like to know more and/or apply for either of the roles (or both), pls email or call Tom Eaton by Friday 17th August latest.
firstname.lastname@example.org / 07826 520452.
We would like to have someone in place to take over from Cher by the end of August, Cher has very kindly offered to show her replacement ‘the ropes’ and then that person will be voted in at our AGM in October. For the 3rd team role we would like to know who is interested, hold discussions and then likewise our new captain will be voted in at our AGM.
If you have any questions, thoughts or ideas about either role pls don’t hesitate to discuss with Tom, Cher, Vicky or any of the other captains.

Please can I remind everyone that all club members have a responsibility to look after our club and clean up after themselves.
There’s not been any major incident or anything, but over the last couple of weeks there has been two or three comments made to me that different people/groups have come to the club and had to tidy up from the previous people/group before getting on with what they are doing.
In other words; ‘we could all do better’.
I think you’ll all agree…. we have a fine clubhouse which we want to keep that way, so pls continue to look after and keep up together.
Thanks in anticipation.
